LOVE IS INNATE- F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Sometimes in this journey of life you get lost in the blurry world where you tend to believe there is no way out. And that’s when you see a hope, a hope that would make you happy again.

Did you ever feel out of the place and didn’t know what to do? Several times I have been through this but i have found my solution.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

F.R.I.E.N.D.S started in the year 1994 and went off air after 10 years. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is a series of 6 different people who meet at the coffee house.

tumblr_ll6ovr5Jgh1qatiqzo1_500

Let me describe these characters a bit

Chandler- The only sarcastic person i like and i do find him funny

Monica- The best hostess

Rachel- Fashionista

Phoebe- Weird crazy

Ross- Not a good flirt

Joey- Well, we all know hot and sexy

3 years ago, two of my friends had suggested me this series and believe me I am still not able to get over the fact that it’s over. To my own surprise, I have watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S 6 times and still going. Every single day, when there is nothing to do I watch them. They are around me all the time. I look at their bond, their friendship, their love for each other I wonder does such kind of friendship exist now ?In reality, I be more with  F.R.I.E.N.D.S than my real friends. It has become a part of me.

Reasons why I connect with them so much;

I love chandler and Monica the most and their mondler story. The way chandler takes care of everything in spite of being such a commitment freak. If asked what kind of guy I would want it would be someone like him.

Motherly care of Monica makes me feel much stronger. Her way of making things perfect I don’t find it high maintenance

Rachel of course a friend you could rely on. The best part about her was she took control of her own life. Initially, she worked at the coffee house and by the end of the series she was offered a job at Gucci in Paris.

Ross is a sweetheart. When i look at him all I can think is ‘We were on a break’ and ‘You ate my sandwich’. Ross had such big troubles but he never gave up and moved on every time

Phoebe is completely crazy and she doesn’t care if you like her or not. She would never change herself for anybody. Life taught her that

Joey knows how to live life to the fullest even when you are not too good at work.

I have imbibed certain qualities in me from them. I am quite upfront like chandler, I love Fashion like Rachel. I am organized as Monica and weird like phoebe. As happy as Joey and amiable as Ross.  We all have stories to say and when we realize that somewhere we have been through the same that’s the time when we get closer. All the characters have different stories still it’s amazing to see how the six of them made us happy for 10 years. Even today when I watch a single episode, I know one thing for sure that mess is for time happiness is for life. They make me believe that I am never alone. In bad times, I take a turn and follow the route of bliss yet again

BOLD AND BRAVE -IN CONVERSATION WITH AN UPCOMING STAR, NIDHI BHANUSHALI

WE all had a dream once, a dream to be famous. When I look at this girl, all I can say she is a person filled with enthusiasm having no complaints in life. Nidhi Bhanushali is an actor currently working in TAARAK MEHTA KA OOLTAH CHASHMAH as SONU. Her motto in life is very clear; she wants to excel in everything she does. Dedicated Nidhi started working in this industry at a very young age. When asked how she would describe herself she says she is an all rounder. Nidhi is now 14 year old and began her journey in the acting career at the age of 11. As compared to other kids, in her youth itself Nidhi has achieved a lot already. Starting with advertisements and now working in serials, she is definitely a rising star.

10401395_602778523163176_8003812440707798920_n

Here is what she has to say about her career;

Needhi Dhoker (ND)– First of all let me tell you, your acting is amazing and looking at you working so hard it inspires many of your fans. So when did you decide you wanted to get into acting career?

Nidhi Bhanushali (NB)– Well, I was 11 when I gave my first audition which was for an advertisement and now it’s been 4 years that I am in this industry

ND– Who is your role model?

NB– I believe that every person you meet in your life has a certain quality that inspires you. For me it’s the same way.  My mom, is my role model in life. She is my caretaker. Every morning she wakes up at 5 a.m so that she can cook for all of us. Be it my studies or my shoots, she has always been there for me. So yeah I admire her and someday I would want to become like her.

ND– What made you get into the acting career?

NB-Ever since my childhood, everyone used to acknowledge my looks. People used to tell my mom to take me for auditions but she didn’t realize it back then. After I grew up, she thought it was time and then I started giving auditions. I got selected for a serial but as it was happening in Baroda I couldn’t take it. I could come back to Mumbai only for a month and I had my school as well so it was a big no no.  Later on, I did some ads and now I am a part of TAARAK MEHTA KA OOLTAH CHASHMAH since two years.

ND– As you have started working at such a young age, does it become stressful to manage your studies and shoots?

NB– In the first year, it was a little difficult for me. I am a trained BharaNatyam Dancer and I play guitar. I have my drawing classes as well. Initially to cope up with all my curricular activities was a task but gradually things fell in the right place. I could manage my shoots and my studies as well.

67716_643448355762859_1664199730731599547_n

ND– What do you do in your free time?

NB– As I have my shoots I don’t really have enough time for my studies so I dedicate that time to it. Just in case if I have more time left I watch television or read novels.

ND– Does your schedule become stressful to you?

NB– I have chosen this field. Even if it is stressful, I love my life because of my work. I couldn’t ask for more as everything is perfect and I am happy about it. (Gives a huge smile)

ND– What is that one quote you follow the most?

NB– Be positive. No matter what comes your way fight all the obstacles and rise above all. There are going to be times when you will be clueless what to do but there is always a hope that will take you to the end.

IMG_0735

ND– What is your future plan?

NB– Currently I am working with TAARAK MEHTA KA OOLTH CHASHMAH so there is no chance I can work simultaneously somewhere else. Probably for more 4 years I am going to be a part of it. I want to become a psychologist after my graduation which is far way different than what I am doing at present. But yes, if given a chance to work in movies I would definitely like to sign it.

ND– So when you say you would want to work in movies if you are offered one, whom would you want to work with?

NB– Mmmm. I think I would love to work with Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. Also, Priyanka Chopra as she inspires me a lot and I love her work in all the movies.

Maaaa…

When i was born i never knew what a mother was

I was too small to understand words everybody said
But i could hear one voice one word maa
I started repeating it.
By now i grew up a little i knew it was a lady who used to teach me a new thing everyday
Time passed i was growing up.
This lady never stopped making me learn
She gave me all the love and protection in this world.
She was someone who was a friend, a mentor, an admirer
She motivated me every time i failed at some point in my life
She never ran short of care and affection
She wanted me to stand up on my feet and never rely on anyone
She taught me how to face the  world in the most difficult times
She scolded me when it was my fault but also appreciated me when i was right
She is giver and she is a strength
She is fearless and she is a star
She is an angel
She is a mother.

See Through Desire

Tonight, lying down and looking at the ceiling, I wonder, the most meaningful thing in my life that’s when I became nostalgic and went back in time.

In 2012, the idea of making a tattoo fascinated me.  When this thought hit my head I started jotting down things that held certain importance in my life. I was a firm believer of the law of attraction and angel therapy. I had decided I have to get one after my birthday. It was an apt call for me as I didn’t care what was next. After looking at more than 1000 images I decided to make a sword angel. Appointment was fixed and it was time. I wasn’t nervous or scared. I knew I had to go through the pain but it was for a while. Due to some reason the idea of making an angel didn’t really happen. I still had hopes and I decided to convince my mom about it ( what you think you receive- the secret). She didn’t deny and I thought may be its not the right time to make an angel. That’s when I thought why not make something that describes me the most. I am a typical Taurean and I have tendency to judge people according to their zodiac signs. I made a final call, fixed my appointment. Decision was made and it was a bull. Within no time it was done and I didn’t even feel the needle being pressed on my body.

The reason why I decided to make a bull is because I am too stubborn but at the same time warm hearted. My tattoo is on my nape as it’s not to flaunt but it’s for my own sake. This tattoo holds too much gist and even today it reminds me of who I am.

Art And Fashion Of Pre-Historic Times

When we look back in time, art and fashion have been with us for millions of years now.  In spite of them being different somewhere they have always been interlinked or connected to each other. In today’s time , I believe they go simultaneously

When we say pre historic it’s the time period when there were no designers. Humans of stone age period just by brain storming made all this possible to protect themselves.

Pre historic art.

The pre historic people depicted themselves through visual images on walls. These people came up with realism in their cave paintings. In Europe and Africa, early works of art depict animals such as bison, elephants, giraffe, horses etc. they also sculpted the tusks of mammoth. Drawings like maps and landscapes appeared along with animals and human figures.

image

Some animals are restricted while some are portrayed more often. In Africa and Europe half human and half animal are shown occasionally. The colors used were produced from ochre, manganese dioxide and charcoal. The pre historic humans loved to paint animals. Not only animals but handprints were also found later on.They were mostly left hands and were of female. In Europe, the animals most often depicted were horses, bison, mammoth, reindeer, aurochs, wild boar, fish, eels, birds, and other animals valued for food and raw materials such as fur, leather, antlers, and ivory. In abstract art the symbols were repetitive. E.g.- dots and notches. In Africa, the oldest known pottery has been found in Egypt at Merimda and then Faiyum (fifth millennium dc), whereas in southern Europe, it dates from the seventh millennium.

image

The period between 30,000 B.C to 20,000 B.C is noted for images of women. Venuses are made with limestone and tinted with red ochre. The venuses have swollen belly and breasts suggesting connection to fertility. Arms behind breasts and face covered with plaited hair. They are considered as mother goddess.

image

Pre Historic Fashion

Talking about fashion, it became into existence in 200,000  B.C.E to about 30,000 B.C.E. The first known humans to make clothing were Neanderthal man. They had to survive all the weathers and so with the help of their effective tools such as spears and axes they hunted mammoth, bears, deers, musk etc.

image

They learnt how to keep themselves warm and hence clothing was born. It was believed the earl humans cut the hides making holes for the different parts of their bodies. The first piece made by them was the tunic which was made from the animal hide. The garment was made length lay on the shoulders and tightened with belt or a tie. Needles came into existence later on which were made of silvers of animal bone. There were more advances later on. To cover their legs, they started sewing leggings to cover their legs and coats of fur  to cover their bodies.

Pre Historic art in Egypt

The Egyptians depicted human bodies in proper proportions. They showed each part accurately without making it look weird. The way of depicting human body never changed for the Egyptians since 2700 years. They used grids to make each body proportionate.

image

Pre historic Fashion in Egypt

In Egypt, light clothing was favored from plant fibers, linen. Occasionally cotton was used. Animal skin of leopard were worn by priests. There was usage of feathers also. The manufacturing of clothes was apparently women’s work. Lined was produced from flax. The tools used such as knives and needles changed over the centuries and blades came into existence and later on scissors. The robes worn by both the sexes were called kalasaris and the choice was always linen. The dresses worn by women were with beads and the breasts were covered. Shawls were sometimes worn during the new kingdom. The Egyptians were also fond of jewelry. They wore rings and amulets to ward off the evil spirits and injury. Sometimes the jewelry was made of gold and silver and for poorer people it was made of copper.

Ciritique

Millions of years ago, Art and fashion were invented by humans who weren’t at all like us. The kind of life we all are living today wasn’t the same back then. Let’s rewind a little…

People of stone age time with the help o their tools hunted them and made garments for them to survive all the weathers.

There are different reasons to cave paintings done by them . it is believed that they were either done to kill boredom or to remember the timings of the arrival of the animals. The beauty they got in their art is still alive today and is one the most appreciated art everywhere.

image

image

What is art and fashion? Art is where a person is expressive of thoughts and fashion is a personal identity. Art and fashion both have moved ahead with time. When compared to the ancient times, the modernized version are completely incomparable. It’s fascinating how they are growing throughout the coming years.

Let’s take an example of humans in stone age time. They hunted the animal skin of leopard and wore it as a garment to cover themselves and now due to so much advancement in Fashion you will  find leopard printed printed clothes, accessories, shoes etc.  everywhere across the globe. Its inspired from the pre historic times. If this wouldn’t have taken place, I think we all would have been still walking  around naked.

image

Art from every artist is not alike. They all have their own perceptions and views towards what they want to portray. Its their passion and they are strong emotions connected to it. Fashion is always inspired with what a person must have been through and that shows in their garments. They way it is made there is always a reason behind it. As time passed, people became more innovative and sophisticated.

Art and fashion are now going simultaneously. Some designers are inspired by some of the artist  and are now bringing art into Fashion. Certain designers collaborate with artists so as to portray it in their designs.

image

Karl Lagerfeld envisioned Chanel’s spring runway as one great big art exhibition.Chanel

Muccia Prada at her show in Milan commissioned some artists to design murals for her catwalk. In 1937, Elsa Schiaparelli designed a lobster print gown and this was inspired by Salvador Dali.  Marc Jacobs has worked with artists like Takashi Murakami on accessories for Louis Vuitton.

“Artists have emerged as brands in themselves. In a way, fashion has made art more fashionable,”  said by Ms.Kubler.  The attention they grabbed by the audience was much more comparatively. The collaboration with the artists  is expanding their profiles too.

Fearless Soul

Fearless Soul

Did you ever have a dream, a dream to be on your own and realize how different life would be when everything around changes just in a fraction of a second? Dia, a 20 year old, decided to move out of Mumbai and come to Delhi for her studies. Being pampered and a complete spoilt brat at home, it was a challenge for her to come to a new city. Time was flying and the day was coming near. She was all set to explore this city full of love.

Dia always believed that to achieve something, you have to make your thoughts work in a way that you, yourself control it. Her parents let her free and never were unsupportive of her. Dia wanted to know how life would be if everything wasn’t a cake walk and that’s exactly what she experienced when she moved to Delhi.

The day arrived. She was at her destination and in a jiffy she fell in love with this city. Dia had to do everything on her own here. Few days passed and she was settled by then in Delhi. She lived in a pg, her college was near,. She had all the facilities and had nothing to complain about. Since the day she had come, she never felt aloof rather she felt as if there was always this connection with the place, and with everything around. Inspite of being so away from her family, Dia didn’t really miss her parents but she was enjoying every bit of what was coming her way. Her college was amazing, she had good friends, good teachers, good times. All her laziness was left behind and Dia had become a hard worker here. A girl who didn’t even know how to make tea, learnt so much here. Her independence changed her in a good way and she was experiencing a whole new life in Delhi. All this was possible only because Dia always had this faith no matter what happens everything is meant to be fought and not run away and that’s what she always did.

In today’s time, it’s been more than a year that Dia is in Delhi and has been on this path where she is being so positive and so fearless towards her dream, a dream to be on her own.
